未来某天，地球上突然迎来一群不速之客为数众多的外星机器人出现在各大城市，它们体形巨大，强悍无敌，可以瞬间将攻击者气化，这使人类感受到空前的压迫和危机。军队长官普瑞特夜间执行任务，抓到两个具有人类体貌特征的男性和女性机器人。普瑞特连夜审问，却未得到任何线索。不久，女性机器人向善良的士兵麦伦吐露了入侵地球的原因：原来拥有高等智慧的外星人始终在观察地球，当它们发现人类过度发展毁灭性武器，并且已经威胁到地球的安全之时，外星人决定采取行动，或者眼看着地球毁灭，或者毁灭人类以拯救这颗美丽的星球……
